Ceno Technologies - News
Ceno Technologies are pleased to announce the recent relocation of our Research and Development laboratories into the New York State Center of Excellence in downtown Buffalo.
Situated at 701 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY 14203, these state-of-the-art facilities provide the ideal environment for Ceno Technologies to focus resources into further researching the unique workings of cenospheres, microspheres, nanoparticles and other coated particles in order to develop solutions for our expanding customer base throughout the World.
The New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences (COE) was created in Buffalo, New York in 2002 as part of more than $200 million dollars in investment from state, federal, industry and philanthropic sources to create a hub of life sciences expertise and innovation in Upstate New York. The COE brings a strong foundation in life sciences research and discovery to its mission and collaborative efforts with industry,
government and researchers around the world to improve the health and well-being of the population. COE research institutions have been around for more than 100 years with the University at Buffalo (UB) as the lead academic organization, and Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute as research partners.
New Research Facilities
As Ceno Technologies continue to develop the highest quality and most reflective particles for our customers, phase 1 of our new research facilities now enables further development of coated particles for use in medical and pharmaceutial applications in addition to our existing areas of research in the Aerospace, Electronics, Automotive, Electrical and Cosmetics industries.
The new facility significantly increases the company’s laboratory resources and experimental capabilities. These are used to develop next-generation complex particle coatings and manufacturing systems. This facility also now includes a dedicated R&D office manned by our Technical Director Mr. Scottpatrick J. Sellitto and his very competent team of staff who can be reached directly by calling 716 881 7585.
Phase 2 in the planned expansion of Ceno Tehchnologies facilities is scheduled for for the fall of 2010 when another purpose-built laboratory is completed in the nerarby NY State Innovation Center across the street at 640 Ellicott Steet, Buffalo, NY 14203.
Ceno Technologies Incorporated will continue to scale-up the manufacture of coated particles for customers worldwide at nearby facilities in Buffalo supported by its facilities on Delaware Avenue and a further sales office in Christchurch, UK.
Alan Rowdon, Chief Executive Officer of Ceno Technologies, said “This is a vitally important next step in the implementation of our product development strategy. The accelerated timing reflects the recent increase in volume and momentum we have seen in the markets we serve. It also underlines our commitment to deliver continuous improvement to the productivity of our products for our customers.”

“As we go into a very exciting period of innovation and growth, it is our firm intention to step up a gear to maintain our position of being always one step ahead.”
New Products
The planned and continued expansion of Ceno Technologies R & D facilities has enabled the development of coatings including silver, gold, palladium, iridium, nickel and other materials onto a whole range of base particles. At this moment in time we are currently working on providing cost effective coatings for numerous additional materials including:-
- Graphite
- Nylon 6
